Maluku Governor Karel Ralahalu, welcomed the inaugural flight of Garuda Indonesia route from Jakarta to Ambon in Pattimura Airport on Thursday (06/03/2010) evening that has been fought since the last two years.
The flow of tourists to the Moluccas will be increasingly in the future.
Governor hopes, Garuda operation will impact on increasing the flow of tourists to the Moluccas, given the airline prefer the excellent service to satisfy the users of aviation services.
"Flow of tourists to visit Maluku will be increasingly in the future, regarding the operation of Garuda who prefer the optimal service and excellence to customers, especially if it could be a direct flight from Jakarta to Denpasar, Ambon," he said.
Earlier, on May 25, 2010 Garuda has opened a flight to Ternate, North Maluku provincial capital with a transit in Manado, South Sulawasi.
In the near future, Garuda Indonesia will also back up the efforts in the Gorontalo area and other regions in Eastern Indonesia.
